Fear God

Father, teach me the fear of the Lord so that I may know Your covenant. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge that leads to a fountain of life, a strong confidence, and stability in hard times, and a wealth of salvation.  A man who fears God holds nothing back from the Lord. A man who will not change does not fear God. So I work out my salvation with fear and trembling for God is a consuming fire perfecting me in holiness. I delight in the fear of God so as not to make rash judgments by the sight of my eyes or the hearing of my ears. I walk in the fear of God and the comfort of the Holy Spirit knowing You take no delight in my might, strength or my wisdom but only when I fear Your name. I conduct myself

Pure Thoughts

Pure Thoughts

Father, the natural mind is an enemy to You, so I put away reasoning and do not lean to my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge You and You direct my steps. I have not been given a spirit of fear but a well disciplined mind. I have the mind of Christ to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ casting down every imagination that exalts itself above what You have said. I put on the helmet of salvation so that I can think on whatsoever is pure and true, honest, of good report, lovely, anything that has virtue and praise. I think on those things.

Simplicity

Simplicity

Father, I keep the simplicity of the gospel. Through the death of Jesus I am reconciled to You, my God, and through the resurrection of Jesus I am given new life to overcome all the works of the flesh, Satan and the world. I am in Christ, Christ is in God, and God is in me. I am saved by grace through faith. There is no other way. Apart from You I can do nothing. So I come to You with child like faith. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus was raised from the dead so I have received eternal life. When I confess my sins You are faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.

Entering His Rest

Entering His Rest

Father, I labor to enter into the rest of Jesus. I check myself to be sure I am operating in the faith. It is not by my laboring to do well that I find eternal rest but by hearing the Word that was made flesh. It is not about what I can do for You that brings rest but what You finished for me at the cross. I was crucified with Jesus at the cross, dead to sin and raised with Jesus to eternal life made to be the righteousness of God. So I quiet my soul of all the talk between my emotions, thoughts and will so that I may hear Your voice and follow You to green pastures and still waters. Let Your will be done. Let Your ways become my ways so that I may stay in rest. How You deliver me is too wonderful for me to know so I humble myself

Jesus is alive

Scripture

but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; - 1 Peter 3:15 KJV

What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. - Matthew 10:26-28 KJV

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. - Hebrews 10:22-25 KJV
